IWC Shaffhausen, the legendary luxury Swiss watchmakers, has partnered with BFI London Film Festival 2015, and to celebrate the collaboration it has launched two special edition timepieces.
The Portugieser collection, which celebrates 75 years of production this year, is famed for its classic styling, breathtaking quality and state-of-the-art technology, so it’s little wonder the two special editions are causing quite a storm. The Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days in stainless steel and the Portugieser Annual Calendar in platinum are to be auctioned at the BFI’s fundraising gala, LUMINOS, with all proceeds going towards the BFI National Archive, one of the most phenomenal heritage collections in the world and the UK’s national collection of film and TV.
To celebrate the 59th BFI London Film Festival, only 59 Hand-Wound Eight Days will be made, and if you want to get your hands on one of these, they are available for pre-order now. The Annual Calendar has the rare combination of an impressive 7-day power reserve, whilst also displaying the month, date and day and will be auctioned exclusively at LUMINOS on October 6.
