IWC ‘Journey to the Stars’ gala party at SIHH

IWC know how to party. Every soiree they throw causes a stir through at least two neighbouring continents thanks to outstanding food, even better music and star-studded guest lineups. For their latest ball, taking place to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Portugieser, IWC went all out, as expected.

Located at the Salon International de la Haute Horologie, IWC’s theme was ‘Journey to the Stars’, which, when you look at who graced the red carpet, is rather apt indeed. Guests and brand ambassadors who attended the evening included two-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and teammate Nico Rosberg, movie stars Emily Blunt and Christophe Waltz, supermodels Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova and musicians Ronan Keating and Mick Hucknall. The latter even treated guests to a live performance, following Marco Tempest’s immersive display of high-tech animations.

Of course, with all the stars out in force you’d be forgiven for forgetting what it’s all about. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of one of the most iconic watches of all time though is something you shouldn’t forget in a hurry. IWC have started the year off on a high, and we only expect bigger things of them the more we delve into 2015.
