It’s Here – The All New Range Rover

The word iconic is used far to often but the Range Rover is just that. Conceived over 40 years ago it has been the number one luxury off-roader, however over the years they have not just stayed a luxury off roader but have become a status symbol.

A new Range Rover doesn’t come around that often, this is the fourth generation, and with such a well known and loved car, it is not something Land Rover want to make any mistakes on. They are already boosting that this is there most refined SUV to date and with the most notable feature being the light weight aluminum body, which is 39% lighter than it’s predecessor. This weight loss is bound to make massive improvements to the speed, fuel, emissions and it’s off road capabilities.

Just under 5m long there is a similarity in shape to the old model, however the exterior is much sleeker. With this new streamlined profile it is no wonder that this is Land Rovers most aerodynamic Range Rover ever.

John Edwards, Land Rovers Global Brand Director said, “the new Range Rover preserves the essential, unique character of the vehicle – that special blend of luxury, performance and unmatched all-terrain capability. However, its clean sheet design and revolutionary lightweight construction have enabled us to transform the experience for luxury vehicle customers, with a step change in comfort, refinement and handling.

With all the information provided so far it looks like Land Rover are pushing all the right buttons.

Sales scheduled to start in 2012 and it will be introduced in 170 markets worldwide. landrover.com
