Introducing: TomTom Runner Cardio

Introducing: TomTom Runner Cardio

Although it costs £100 more than its predecessor the TomTom Runner, this exercise specific watch delivers on its price tag. The rubber strap is interchangeable and the watch module now feels far more secure within its rubber housing. The upgrade in strap material from plastic to rubber is the biggest change and means the watch is more rugged, more durable and more comfortable.

Still water resistant to 165m the Cardio won’t mind getting wet and the addition that TomTom have been blowing their trumpet about is the in-built heart sensor which, alongside the detachable GPS sensor, delivers impressive analytics that can be used to critically improve your workouts. The screen design and interface are clean and clear which is representative of the user-friendly functionality of the watch module.

Overall, its a superb addition to the tech/sports/smart watch market and, if it suits your needs, then it’s a must-buy. If you’re still not convinced watch this video of up and coming model Alexandria Morgan illustrating just how useful the new in-built hear rate monitor is.
