INTERIOR – Art Meets Video Games
Words: Harry Jarman
With the fear of getting Lana Del Ray stuck in your head for the entirety of the week, we here at The Gentleman’s Journal can’t stop talking about Video Games…the real ones that is.
Kissing in the blue dark, Playing pool and wild darts and, Video games
Sorry, couldn’t resist. Whilst our favourite pout-wearing glamour-puss has gone underground for the foreseeable future, video games need not share the same fate. This latest offering from Signed & Original features a pair of modern frames filled, with geometric precision, with vintage 80’s video games.
The perfect gift for the man who just refuses to grow up, and perfect for 80s kids and adults alike. Forget big hair and shoulder pads, this is 80s nostalgia at its very best. Found in an old comic book store in Soho (where all the best oddities are found), the games include old school favourites such as Danger Mouse, what’s not to love?
Personally, we can envisage them hooked neatly, side by side, on the walls of a games room, or ‘man room’. So you can sit back and be reminded of the good ‘ol days whilst completing level after level of COD or GTA – they were simpler times!
So what are you waiting for? Dust off your roller blades, throw on a neon ski jacket and bag yourself the ultimate piece of nostalgic art work.
