Nothing says luxury like a nice round price – and Heesen’s billion-dollar superyacht, the astronomically named – and priced – Galactica Super Nova, certainly has that.
Custom-built and dedicated to accommodating any nautical need you may have, the jewel in Heesen’s crown is built entirely in-house in Holland, engineered by master craftsmen in their Oss shipyard. So step on board and take a look around.
The sun deck has been designed with as few divides as possible, to give the illusion of even more space (not that it’s lacking to begin with). A wall of glass sliding doors act as a windbreak, and also allow guests to move freely between the covered lounge area and open deck.

The vast foredeck is versatile in the extreme. Set out a beachful of sun loungers for soaking up some rays, transform it into a seafaring nightclub with the stars overhead, or use it as a makeshift helipad.
Or why not put on a film? The Super Nova’s design includes a 4 x 2.25-metre screen, mounted on removable carbon pillars for a crisp, high-definition visual experience – and state-of-the-art CAT Marine speakers allow for a deeply immersive sound, even out in the open expanse of the ocean.

If you can think of nothing better than breakfast watching the sunrise, or dinner under a canopy of stars, the bridge deck’s aft terrace features a ‘sky lounge’ – 92 square metres of space, ideal for alfresco dining and boasting the best views of wherever you decide to moor.
The decoration of the vessel, by yacht designer Sander Sinot, is a blend of the classic and the contemporary. Three distinct areas make up the interior: a welcoming reception room with low coffee tables; a semi-circular library replete with open fire; and, of course, a dining area.

The dining area is easily the most formal on the boat – flanked by low cabinets of wedge and featuring a long table with room for eight – enough space for all of your guests.

And, speaking of guests, four sumptuous state rooms are located on the lower deck – all equipped with luxurious ensuite bathrooms and lined, floor to ceiling, with marble.
The owner’s suite is panelled with onyx, boasts a walk-in rain shower and can be accessed via the private owner’s study. The main aft deck terrace features built-in sofas and creative LED lighting.

A six-metre, glass-bottomed infinity pool is arguably the vessel’s most impressive inclusion. With spa jets for hydro-massage and waterproof sound system, guests can use it for relaxation or recreation.
