The most insane yachts available to charter this summer

The most insane yachts available to charter this summer

You get what you pay for, may be an old adage, but that does not make it any less true. More often than not, the more something costs the higher the quality. And the statement is true with everything, from suits, to cars, and even to yachts. Whilst many of us will never be in a position where it’s financially viable to actually own a yacht, there’s another more cost effective option for those who want to set sail this summer and that is through chartering. Chartering a yacht is undoubtedly the second best thing to actually owning one, and here are the best out there.

Axioma, Yachtmasters

Enormous is a somewhat relative term when talking about luxury super yachts, but this one perhaps deserves the adjective, with six decks spread across the boats palatial 72 metre length. It is this enormous size that allows for impressively spacious entertaining areas throughout the yacht, as well as meaning there is space for an under-lower deck, allowing the crew of 20 to seamlessly run the ship, without compromising the guest areas. The bridge deck has a helipad, as well as a third salon with a glazed roof – just the spot for evenings spent star-gazing. There is also a cinema lounge that leads out onto the outdoor dinning area.

The yacht’s main deck features its own beach club at sea level, with an infinity pool and four sets of double sized sofas, perfect for sunning yourself on while island hopping. You can also fold out two fifteen metre balconies on either side of the yacht at sea level, which only adds to the already very impressive living space on board. Axioma also comes with a fully equipped gym and beauty spa, including a jacuzzi on one of the decks. There are two different tenders, a wave runner, two seadoos, waterski and wakeboard equipment, as well as diving and snorkelling equipment. You don’t want to miss Axioma, gentlemen, trust us.

Natori, Northrop & Johnson

Contemporary design lines give Natori a masculine exterior, which balances perfectly with the luxurious interior, combining exceptional Italian craftsmanship with South African design features. On the main deck, there are full height windows that bring plenty of light into the yacht, which instantly make it feel incredibly spacious. Sliding doors out from the main saloon lead to a covered deck with a circular table, perfect for al fresco dining with friends. The owners suite is the one people will be fighting over; as it spans the entire length of the ship.

Of course, that’s not to say that the other accommodations aren’t equally desirable, each being luxuriously appointed. There is a cardio gym on the upper deck as well as a relaxing sky lounge offering jaw-dropping panoramic views of your surroundings. If that wasn’t enough, there is also a fully stocked bar and numerous comfortable seating options to let it all sink in. Outside, Natori boasts an impressive sun deck with its own bar and seating, surrounding a huge jacuzzi which in itself has an uninterrupted view off the back of the yacht. The perfectly pocket-sized mega yacht, ready for you and your friends this summer.

Built in 2015, this 40.16 metre yacht is spread out over four huge decks and is nothing if not distinctive, with its exterior coloured a metallic electric turquoise. It is going to be instantly recognisable, for those who want to make a real entrance while coming into port. With the ability to accommodate twelve guests and a crew of seven, this yacht is the ultimate for a holiday at sea. Decorated with dark wooden floors and cream furnishings with turquoise accents, it looks more like a manhattan penthouse than a boat. Each of the cabins is extraordinarily well appointed and spacious, with high quality finishes to all the ensuite bathrooms.

Finally, the boat also has its own beach club pontoon at the back of the boat, where all the tenders and toys are stored. Titania, Burgess

Originally delivered in 2006 and recently updated in 2012, Titania is one of the most elegantly designed yachts available for this summer. This 72 metre mega-yacht is essentially an English stately home at sea. It’s designed with an interesting mix of modern outdoor entertaining spaces, decorated with teak decking and white furnishings with turquoise accents, nicely juxtaposed with sumptuous traditionally designed interiors. Titania has room to accommodate twelve guests with ease across seven spacious cabins, each of which would be fit for royalty, with deep rich woods lining the walls and cream furnishings abound. Each room also comes with its own marble ensuite bathroom; the yacht is so vast that it even has its own lift to take you between decks. There is a crew of 20 on board with a head chef, masseuse, hairdresser, personal trainer and two jet ski instructors all on hand to cater to your every need.

The yacht also features its own beach club, with its own swimming platform, sauna, bar and arrangement of sofas. A complete water park can also be deployed from the beach club including an inflatable slide, trampoline and climbing frame. The beach club then transforms into the boats own night club in the evening.
