coffee - TGJ.01

Who knew that when it comes to a plain old drinking cup, there is actually a world of technological and stylish possibilities. Enter DEVIENHL, the perfect coffee from master innovators Andreas Bös and Jonathan Strauss. Tired of drinking their favourite beverage from a bland cup that not only looks awful but also detracts from the taste of the coffee, Bös and Strauss set about creating a premium, luxurious coffee cup that they would be proud to drink from.

18 months of engineering later and the DeVIEHL was launched. Each DeVIEHL is a technical masterpiece composed of 25 separate components. Incorporating advanced insulation technology, coffee is kept at its optimal drinking temperature for longer. The inner form, a result of complex fluid dynamics research, is optimised to ensure maximum “Crema” formation.

What is great about the DeVIEHL cup is that it is not only technologically advanced but aesthetically beautiful as well. The special retaining mechanism allows the conically shaped cup to perfectly fit into the profiled base. Crafted from a fusion of unconventional materials, including exotic woods such as Cocobolo and Zebrano, hydrophobic leathers and carbon fiber, drinking from a DeVIEHL is a tactile sensation that enhances the coffee drinking experience.

There are three different styles available; the DEVIEHL Mundo Nova Espresso Cup, the DeVIEHL Pacamara Espresso Cup and the DeVIEHL Caturra Espresso Cup. Price ranges between £330-£570.

DeVIEHL cups are available in London at Harrods, Knightsbridge & William & Son, Mount Street.
