With Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Girl and Tommy Denim all under its belt, Hilfiger has remained one of the most powerful fashion establishments in the world since it’s founding in 1985, creating esteemed lifestyle products, sportswear and tailoring for men and women. A recognised household name, Tommy Hilfiger has graced the billboards of cities around the world, with faces such as Beyoncé and Rene Zellweger queuing up to front one of its global campaigns. Monday night saw the celebrations of the London Collection: Men at Restaurant 34 in Grosvenor Square, in the newly opened Emin Room. The event took place for the fourth consecutive season, hailing another year of the brand’s unending appeal. The label’s founder, Tommy Hilfiger cited his central inspiration as “prep”, and commented that “as the birthplace of preppy style, England remains very close to my heart.” Media powerhouses and fashion stars arrived in their droves. Beside Tommy Hilfiger himself, chairman of Conde Naste International Jonathon Newhouse co-hosted the event, with a guest list that included Tracey Emin, Tinie Tempah and David Gandy. The stars enjoyed dinner at the revered steakhouse in the newly opened Emin room.
