Words: Patrick
Gopros have revolutionised the world of media, allowing everyone from amateurs to seasoned mavens to capture the adventures of their everyday lives. Once edited, the videos make for some of the most enthralling footage on the internet.
Here are our pick of the 10 most insane clips from 2015 so far…
1. Some people have that itch to push their bodies and nerves to extremities. One such man is Brandon Mikesell, who can be seen here gracefully navigating his wingsuit through the vibrant mountains in Walenstadt, Switzerland.
2. Because being towed behind a speedboat just isn’t enough for Ben Groen.
3. Hannes Arch takes flight out of the Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg through the beautiful mountains of Austria and speaks about passion for flying.
4. So this is a bit different… GoPro athlete Erik Roner floats 8,000 feet into the sky in a lawn chair attached to 90 weather balloons and then pops them with his shotgun and skydives back down to earth. As you do.
5. Rémy Métailler has no fear.
6. Fly alongside Allison Stokke as she takes you through her pole vault routine. She also has abs of steel.
7. Watch the Stunt Freaks Team conquer the winter elements with high speeds, fiery explosions and laughs.
8. Wildlife photographer Megan Lorenz captures a curious pair of burrowing owls showcasing their dance moves.
9. Marshall Miller basejumps into the foggy unknown in Lauterbrennen, Switzerland. This takes balls.
10. Although not from this year, this montage is simply insane and has to be included, documenting a trip into the caldron of an active volcano, the neon streets of Japan, a refuge for wild mustangs, scaling an iceberg, the world’s biggest dance party and a whale rescue mission.
