The Gentleman’s Journal and Gieves & Hawkes

The Gentleman’s Journal and Gieves & Hawkes

Last night saw a double celebration take place at No. 1 Savile Row. The Gentleman’s Journal celebrated their two-year anniversary, whilst iconic British tailors, Gieves & Hawkes, unveiled their newly renovated store, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Creative Director of Gieves & Hawkes, Jason Basmajian, and Editor-in-Chief of The Gentleman’s Journal, Harry Jarman, curated the evening, which saw music provided by Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe of Housekeeping. Guests included Ed Speleers, Oliver Cheshire and Dominic Sherwood, all of whom dressed in G&H’s much lauded autumn/winter 2014 collection.

On arrival to No. 1 Savile Row, guests were welcomed to the home of British tailoring with Nyetimber sparkling wine and Sipsmith vodka cocktails, which were blended with ginger beer for a refreshing kick. The venue itself looked stunning, fusing together Gieves and Hawkes’ rich heritage with modern design elements, such as a statement cracked mirror hanging above an inviting fireplace.

The event was a fitting celebration for both The Gentleman’s Journal and Gieves and Hawkes. For more information and to see G&H’s AW14 collection, click here.
