Gentleman’s Journal headed to London’s Welsh Chapel on Wednesday night to celebrate the launch of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen — one of Scotland’s rarest whiskies. Guests — including Jeremy Irvine, Jade Parfitt, Sam Rollinson, Damson Idris, Heida Reed and Matt Richardson — were hosted for the evening by Stanley Tucci, the acclaimed actor, writer and director.
As the evening came to a close, Tucci stood up to perform ‘Borealis on the Bay’, a dramatic ode to the spirit of Port Ellen, the famous ‘ghost’ distillery which shut its doors in 1983 and which sits at the heart of the new Ghost and Rare blend. It was a moment worth toasting — lucky, then, that there was so much excellent whisky to hand.
