Five reasons you won’t buy an iPhone 6 Plus
Words: Charlie Thomas
Apple’s annual Special Event was a big one this year. Everyone was talking about the Apple Watch, but it’s with the release of the new iPhones that the California innovators will generate the most sales.
Apple needed to make big steps forward with their new phone and they did just that by releasing two models; one little, one large. The iPhone 6 Plus is the biggest phone they’ve ever made, but we don’t think you will buy one. Here’s why.
1. IT’S JUST TOO BIG, , Measuring in at 5.5-inches, the iPhone 6 Plus is positively gigantic. Not only will it require two hands for operation, but you’ll also struggle to fit it in your trouser or jacket pocket. Inconvenient all round we say.

2. IT’S NOT THAT INNOVATIVE , , The iPhone 6 Plus may be bigger, faster and more powerful than the previous generation, but it’s not really that different. Yes the screen is improved and the design has (finally) been overhauled, but feature-wise, there’s not much difference to the 5s.

3. IT’S TOO EXPENSIVE, , The iPhone 6 Plus starts at £619. For the 128GB version though, it costs a whopping £789. Need we say more?

4. ANDROID DOES IT BETTER , , Whilst the quality construction of the iPhone 6 Plus is unmatched, a number of Andriod phones beat it when it comes to features, memory and price. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a bigger, more vibrant display, a 16MP camera compared with Apple’s 8MP, as well as an unstoppable 2.7Ghz quad-core processor.

5. PHABLETS AREN’T COOL, , Taking a picture with a phone the size of an ancient tome is not a good look. Neither is attempting to hold one up to your ear, or trying to type out an email whilst it rests on your lap like an awkward child. Plus, there are reports of the iPhone 6 Plus bending in your pocket. Not ideal.
