First Trailer for Batman TV Prequel Series “Gotham” is Released

Gotham is back but not as you know it. This time, the infamous city will be featured in an upcoming eponymous series set to air on Fox in the Autumn. The series acts as a prequel to the Batman films and focuses on the young Police Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he attempts to solve the murder of a young Bruce Wayne’s parents Thomas and Martha Wayne.

As well as starring a young, pre-Batman Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), the series also features a young Poison Ivy (Clare Foley), The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) as well as a brand new villain, Fish Mooney played by Jada Pinkett Smith.

Though the air-date hasn’t been released yet, Warner Bros has confirmed it for the 2014-15 season.
