Words: Violet

The Internship is this summer’s bubblegum film – the kind of thing to see on a rainy afternoon (if it EVER rains again) or with your little brother. Featuring cinema’s favourite loveable goofballs, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson – as well as a turn by the rather delectable Rose Byrne – The Internship is as silly as one would hope for. The plot concerns two travelling salesmen who find themselves redundant competing against computers. So, naturally, they go and get themselves internships at Google. Cue much humour as they battle it out for jobs among tech geeks and teenagers – memorable line: ‘but you’re old‘ – at the search engine’s headquarters. No one’s pretending that The Internship is anything other than a laugh-a-minute film whose sole purpose is to give pleasure – and you can’t argue with that.
