Following his stella performance in Les Misérables, it looks like 2013 will continue to be a great year for Hugh Jackman as he returns to the big screen, in superhero mode, in the latest blockbuster movie, The Wolverine. To top this off, Jackman will also be appearing in Prisoners, playing what could potentially be his roughest character yet.
From a sneak preview in the trailer, the film looks like it will be a non-stop gripping thriller that is sure to have us all on the edge of our seats. The plot is any fathers’ worst nightmare, think Taken but with double the amount of suspense, being based around Jackman’s and co-star Terrence Howards’ daughters mysteriously going missing. Jack Gyllenhaal takes on the role of the detective in charge of finding the abductees, but even when the suspect is found a lack of evidence leads to his suspicious release…
This may seem like a predictable plot however we’re pretty sure there are going to be more twists and turns in it than first meets the eye.
Prisoners is out in cinemas from October 4th.
