Mystery, intrigue and dark undertones fill this trailer for the new Denis Villeneuve (director of Prisoners) film, Enemy. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a reclusive, shy man who, after seeing his Doppelganger in a film, goes in search of him. Not much more can be drawn from the trailer but if Gyllenhaal’s past performances are anything to go by, this could make for a very interesting film.
Of the movie, Villeneuve told Yahoo, “It’s an exploration inside yourself. Sometimes you have compulsions that you can’t control coming from the subconscious…they are the dictator inside ourselves.”
The film also stars Melanie Laurent.
