Arguably the most prestigious of all motorcycle brands, Harley-Davidson are well-known for their rumbling v-twin engines, classic design and domineering road presence. For over a century they have produced some of the most legendary two-wheeled machines to grace the public roads, and today they enjoy a reputation as one of the most iconic American brands ever. Still, even for brands such as Harley-Davidson there are rules, and with the increasing pressures of emissions on automotive brands, they will eventually be forced to remove their famous v-twin engine and replace it with an all-electric motor. This bike then represents the future for the brand, which arguably makes it one of their most important products ever.
Whilst it looks suitably mean, this Harley will likely ride like nothing we have seen from the American brand before. Gone, of course, is the signature engine note, which many would say defines the brand. Instead it is replaced with…nothing. The Harley-Davidson Livewire will silently glide down the road, but whilst it won’t sound imposing, its impressive power delivery will ensure that the rider will be able to keep up with the majority of combustion powered machines.
