With the beautiful weather seemingly never-ending there’s a definite taste of summer running through this week’s Editor’s Picks – quite literally when it comes to Nobu’s new seasonal menu.
As always we’ve scoured the globe for the very best in luxury right now, everything from hotel openings to a new British timepiece, but first it’s Omega’s showstopper…
Get cultish: Speedmaster, Limited Edition, Ultraman
The second collaboration between Omega and FratelloWatches is one we most definitely approve of: a celebration of the cult-favorite 1967 “Moonwatch” seen, along with city-crushing beasts, in the Japanese TV series Return of Ultraman. The best bit? An Ultraman mask in the 9 o’clock subdial that’s only visible under UV light.
Party hard: Wake Up Call at W Barcelona
Ditch so-called glamping and embrace this one-of-a-kind boutique music festival exclusively for guests of W Barcelona hotel. Taking place from Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd September, expect to party poolside as Gorgon City, Martin Solveig and Thomas Jack take over the decks. Glow sticks optional.
Fly in style: RAF100 Trolley Case
Globe-Trotter pay tribute to the Royal Air Force’s Centenary Year with the RAF100 collection, inspired by the aircraft and pilots who served the force past and present. With a robust aluminium shell it’s as tough and perfectly-formed as a Spitfire.

Nobu’s classic dishes and sushi are joined by an exclusive selection of Summer Specials for July and August. Enjoy the likes of Dry Miso and Butter Lettuce Salad with Gnocchi & Truffle on the four-level landscaped terrace. The more adventurous can finish off with a charcoal or matcha ice cream.
Keep it classic: 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera

Amongst the Porsche cognoscenti, there are just two models from this storied marque’s 70-year history that are truly iconic: the revered 356 Speedster of 1954–1958, and the 911 Carrera RS of 1973. This is one of finest and rarest examples of the latter and it’s up for auction at RM Sotheby’s.

With military precision: Vertex M100B Covert Chronology
Vertex has launched a new DLC coated M100B to mark a year since it was re-launched by the founder’s great-grandson, Don Cochrane. The black case and rubber strap make for a watch in-line with the demands of a modern military timepiece, be your adversaries on the battlefield or in the boardroom.
Drive classy: Ecurie Ecosse steering wheel bracelet
It’s good to know that every steering wheel bracelet from The Mechanists is handcrafted in their British workshop. This, from their Ecurie Ecosse Collection, celebrates the best achievement of the Scottish racing team winning both the 1956 and 1957 (1st and 2nd position) 24 Hours of Le Mans.
