The Chelsea boot is the most versatile shoe out there. Originally designed for horse-riding, it soon gained Mod credentials in the sixties, but has since become an all-around, hard-working essential. There’s no more fitting time than in the autumn, when you’ll want something hard-wearing but comfortable—and the English-crafted Cheaney Barnes shape slips on-and-off easily thanks to elasticated gussets and pull tabs. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Umami Edition
As if Blue Label could get any better, this limited edition adds an enchanting umami flavour profile to the mix. The series is a collaboration between two experts in their crafts: Johnnie Walker’s Master Blender Emma Walker and gastronomical genius Kei Kobayashi, whose Paris restaurant won three Michelin stars in 2020. Luca Faloni Wool Travel Blazer
Everyone needs a reliable travel blazer for the cooler months. Most are heavy and cumbersome, made with thick fabrics, but Luca Faloni’s (in typical Italian style) is a light, softly-constructed piece crafted in Northern Italy from pure virgin wool. The unstructured profile creates a loose, but flattering, silhouette—like a luxurious cardigan you’ll be reaching for at any opportunity.
LØCI Balance Sneaker
Each LØCI sneaker is made to be as sustainable as possible, crafted with around twenty recycled bottles, as well as bamboo, and foam, to compose a genuinely effortless looking pair of trainers. We’re especially into their Portuguese-made BALANCE model, inspired by classic tennis shoes (think Stan Smiths) but considerably more ethical. Pair them with jeans, a crisp white t-shirt and a cashmere jumper for an ensemble as easy on the eye as they are on the environment.
Schöffel Country Socks
Is there anything more satisfying than putting on new socks? Probably. But for argument’s sake, let’s just say that each of Schöffel’s cosy pairs comfortably tick the box. This Bavarian institution has been creating the best country-wear since 1804, so they’re well-equipped to create the thickest, most durable socks to slip comfortably inside a pair of hiking boots or sneakers. We especially like their country-motif versions, which have an understated sense of fun about them.
