Editor’s Picks: Leica Camera, Electric Hypercar and Canada Goose Parka
From a pair of Montblanc’s noise-cancelling headphones to a British Airways-approved piece of carry-on, this is what we want this week…
Words: Jonathan Wells
This week’s Editor’s Picks is a white out. Inspired by the snowfall outside, our eyes have been drawn to the lightest, brightest new products to hit the market. There’s an all-electric hypercar from Japan. There’s a new pair of headphones from snowcap-branded Montblanc. There’s even a frost-ready new Parka from outerwear oracles Canada Goose.
So, whether you’re enjoying the wintry weather yourself — or simply snowed under at work — why not take a break and check out some of the best new gear of the week?
Light on your feet: Oliver Cabell GAT Sneakers
Let’s kick off with some kicks. They may not be kitted out for cold conditions — but Oliver Cabell’s slick, smart take on vintage German athletic trainers are as cool as they come. Crafted from both suede and full grain calfskin leather, and standing on a capable crepe sole, these sneakers have the retro look all laced up.

Wrap up: Canada Goose Standard Expedition Parka
Canada Goose know a thing or two about snow. They’re not bad on sustainability, either — this latest Parka standing snugly testament to that. Created using organic fabrics and cotton, its shell is crafted from recycled nylon — with that raw colour the result of limited chemical use and undyed fabrics. It also took 30 per cent less carbon and 65 per cent less water to make than the brand’s usual Parkas.

But at least we can help curb your caffeine intake. This personal water tower from Fluidstance is double-walled, chicly-designed and will hold a full day’s supply of water. Along with a desk plant, it could be your home office salvation.
