Feeling the chill? We know we are. But, as autumn looms into gloomy view, we’re also looking on the brighter side. We can start lacing up our heftier leather boots again! We can start zipping up some choice new knitwear! We can even dip back into our reserves of sumptuous scotch whiskies!
And, with new releases this week from Henry Poole, Luca Faloni, Cheaney, Vacheron Constantin and GH Bass, we can do so in style…
Zip it: Luca Faloni Cashmere Zip Cardigan
It’s a small wonder that Luca Faloni hasn’t yet dabbled in the perfectly-practically zip-through world of cardigans. But this latest addition to his knitwear range couldn’t have come at a better time. With transitional weather making it a nightmare to dress for your day, there’s nothing better than a pure cashmere, ribbed edge, smart-casual cardigan to arm you for autumn.
Watch out: Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding
Announced yesterday at the inaugural Watches & Wonders in Shanghai, Vacheron Constantin’s new Overseas Self-Winding model is a treat. With a pink gold case and blue dial, this new self-winding three-hand version may look like a departure from the traditional Overseas style — but it retains the oh-so important signature Maltese Cross hexagonal bezel.
Retro racer: Panache Bushidan
Remember the Kawasaki W650? Well this is what happens when you zhuzh it up a little. In the hands of the aptly-named Panache Customs, the W650 becomes the Bushidan — a parallel-twin retro-styled bike fitted with a Moto Guzi V7 tank and vintage-inspired paint designs by French designer Remy Roland. But you’ll have to move quicker than the motorcycle itself if you want one; the run is limited to just 5 models.
Give the slip: GH Bass Weejuns Penny Loafers
Stepping back into the office? Make the sensible choice. Is jewellery fit for men? It’s a question we commonly ask ourselves. To celebrate Range Rover’s 50th anniversary, the British motoring brand have teamed up with another national treasure — Henry Poole, the founding tailor of Savile Row. At the recent Concourse of Elegance, the two brands launched a bespoke fabric — using the original 1970s exterior colour palette of the car — and will fashion 50 commemorative, limited edition jackets from the material.
