Editors’ Pick: The Weekend Wish List

Editors’ Pick: The Weekend Wish List

To celebrate the four-day weekend, rather than our Editors picking their weekend want list, they have chosen their Easter weekend wish list – the things they’d have, or do, if money were no object.

TRAVEL

Holly Macnaghten, Fashion Editor: FRANGIPANI

I would text a selection of my closest friends and tell them to pack a hot weather wardrobe in a suitcase and meet me at Heathrow with their passports. I would have booked us all first class flights to Mustique to stay at the incredible Frangipani.

I’d make sure the 20 of us had every luxury available and basically just have an incredible 2 weeks of sun, relaxation and partying surrounded by all my favourite people.

Charlie Thomas, Features Editor: BREITLING TRANSOCEAN CHRONOGRAPH 1915

The chronograph has long been a part of Breitling’s history. It’s been so long in fact that this year marks the 100th anniversary of Breitling’s innovative independent chronograph pushpiece. To mark this momentous occasion, the Swiss brand have unveiled a celebratory watch, the Breitling Transocean Chronograph 1915, which is inspired by timepieces of their illustrious past.

Patrick Tillard, Deputy Editor: EAGLE LOW DRAG GT

Eagle have been restoring and producing top-notch E-Types since 1984, but this Low Drag GT is undeniably their finest effort yet. Inspired by the Jaguar E-Type Low Drag Coupé of the mid-60s, this automotive work of art is stunning from every angle and its 4.7-litre V12 and 1038kg body ensures it’s just about as quick as anything on the road.

Hamish Batchen, Business Development Manager: THE MALTESE FALCON

I’d buy the 88m Maltese Falcon, which, whether meandering between smart anchorages or undertaking that once in a lifetime blue water ocean passage, is the perfect charter.

Alex Woodhall, Editorial Assistant: PUCK BUILDING PENTHOUSE

Who wouldn’t want to wake up to this view of Manhattan every morning? This expansive palatial penthouse in the prestige Puck Building would set a prospective buyer back a cool £44.5m, but between the putting green, home theatre, gym, wine cellar and iconic view, I think it could be worth it.
