For those of you who don’t know who Bill Cunningham is, let us explain. He is an 80+ New York Times Photographer who has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and society charity soirées for the last 40 or 50 years. He has two columns in the Times Style section, one called “On the Street” and another called “Evening Hours.”

When fashion powerhouses such as Anna Wintour appear in the film saying “we all get dressed for Bill,” it just bares testament to his contribution and importance in New York fashion culture.
