When John Hitchcox wants to throw a party, he doesn’t pull any punches. And so last night London’s great and good descended on the Westbourne Grove home of the yoo chairman to celebrate his new business venture, ‘Notting Hill Guitars.’ It was a far cry from John’s other major project, The Lakes by yoo in the Costwolds – an award-winning development of luxury weekend residences in the Costwolds. Mark Owen is a resident there, and interiors are designed by Jade Jagger and Kelly Hoppen. But it was a similar type of crowd who flocked to the party last night – James Blunt, freshly back from Ibiza, had his delightful girlfriend Sofia Wellesley on his arm, while Duran Duran’s Dom Brown and Pink Floyd’s Guy Pratt represented rock mega-royalty. And how did they greet each other? With a cheery call of yoo hoo, of course.
