Last night’s Grammys saw an evening of collaborations with Beyoncé and Jay Z opening the show, Madonna joining Macklemore on stage to perform Same Love, former Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Star rejoining to sing Queenie Eye, Daft Punk collaborating with Metallica and pianist Lang Lang and, finally, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell and Nile Rogers united to belt out Get Lucky.

Big winners of the event included Daft Punk who won five awards including the coveted Album of the Year and Record of the Year, Macklemore who won three and Sir Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake who both took home two awards.

When Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear won Best Rock Song with Cut me some Slack, Grohl thanked this collaborators. “We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Ringo and for Paul,” he proclaimed.
