Diary – 2013 GQ Men of The year Awards

For an event so clearly aimed at the celebration of men, it was the women who really stole the show at the 2013 GQ Men of the Year Awards at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden last night.

Victoria’s Secret Angels Jourdan Dunn and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dazzled the red carpet in figure-hugging, flesh-showing, white and silver numbers, which left little to the imagination, much to every gentleman’s joy. Something tells us that Miss Huntington-Whiteley won’t be single for long! Last year it was Lana Del Rey (and her bee-stung pout) who won the award for Woman of the year, but last night it was British beauty Emma Watson who took the title, in a risqué Balenciaga crop top paired with high-waisted black trousers.

Aside from the whole host of gorgeous women, the men looked pretty dapper too. Everyone’s favorite Old Etonian, and former face of Burberry, Eddy Redmayne, took home the GQ Remy Martin Breakthrough prize, and received the award in impeccable style, in a head-to-toe Gucci Fall 2013 ensemble. An impeccably dressed Justin Timberlake presented artist of the moment Pharrell Williams with GQ’s Performer of the Year. The “Get Lucky” star looked just as good as he sounds in black suit and over-sized bow tie. Other notable awards went to Russell Brand for GQ Oracle of the Year, and Tom Ford for GQ Designer of the Year.

A totally star studded evening, that has everyone here at GJ HQ rearing with excitement for the next batch of awards ceremonies coming in the following months. See pictures of the event here.
