Cocktail of the Week: The Gentleman’s Wager

To celebrate the release of the ‘The Gentleman’s Wager’ film, created by Johnnie Walker Blue Label, their Brand Ambassador Andrea Montague has created the perfect summertime whisky cocktail, describing it as “light and fragrant”. The passionate bartender, who is championing the use of more complex malts and whiskeys in mixology, used ingredients to highlight the top notes of Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s complex character and has created, dare we say it, a bit of a masterpiece.

Make it yourself: The Gentleman’s Wager Cocktail

Add 40ml Johnnie Walker Blue Label, 10ml Poire William liqueur, 5ml manzana Verde liqueur and 3 dashes Bokers bitters to a rocks glass and stir over ice. Then top up with sparkling apple juice and garnish with edible flowers (if you’re feeling artistic).
