News has just been released that the Q50 Eau Rouge Concept, a 552bhp super-saloon from Infiniti, will definitely make it to the production line in the near future. The insider described to Auto Express that, considering the amount of money and effort Infiniti have put into this car, it simply wouldn’t make sense for it not to make it to the streets. If the car does go ahead, design director Alfonso Albaisa has stated that the design will be relatively unchanged from the concept and, despite the presence of ‘rouge’ in the name, the Q50 will be made in other colours.
The Q50 Eau Rouge is an aerodynamic, stylish piece of machinery. Inspired by Infiniti’s partnership with the Formula One world championship-winning team, Infiniti Red Bull Racing, the Q50 features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre six cylinder engine delivering 568 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque- considerably more than the regular GT-R. Furthermore, the all-wheel drive system has a constant 50/50 front-to-rear torque split and reports suggest the car will reach 62.14 mph in less than 4 seconds with a top speed of 180mph.
