It is the 30th anniversary of the M5 and BMW is marking the special occasion with the stunning new ’30 Jahre’ limited edition. With only 300 set for production, the car stylish and slick, distinguishable by its Frozen Dark Silver paint and smooth lines.
It’s powerful too. Though it is powered by the same 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 engine as the other M5s, the ’30 Jahre does 0-62 in 3.9 seconds which is 4/10s quicker than the standard M5. What’s more, if you choose the M Driver Package you will be able to bypass the 155mph speed limiter allowing you to reach a top speed of 190mph.
Amongst the upgrades of a Competition Pack M5, the 30 Jahre driver will find the same seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox as the standard M5s but with a lower suspension 10mm, stiffer anti-roll bars and minor adjustments with the steering.
So when will we see of the 30 Jahre over in the UK? Well, BMW have released that there will be 30 examples of the car coming over will a cost price of £91,980.
