Cadillac is renowned for its partnerships. From pairing with Brembo for the innovative disc brakes of the CTS-V to the integration of cutting edge audio in the Escalade, the American automaker knows where the best in technology and engineering can be found – and uses it to enhance their vehicles.
The latest addition to this exclusive list of partnerships is Bose. The 2017 CT6 model boasts a Bose PANARAY Sound System, a world-class system of an impressive 34 specially-tuned, strategically-placed speakers used to provide premium audio quality for an automobile cabin.
Grace, a short film created by the carmaker, was scored by Scottish music producer S-Type, who Cadillac brought in to showcase the CT6’s sound system. Directed by emerging filmmaker Sam de Jong as part of a series of presentations intended to showcase the 2017 collection, Grace follows the titular protagonist, an art gallery owner, as she uses the PANARAY sound system to wind down after a stressful day in the city.
Grace is one in a series of breakthrough short films created by this team of up-and-coming talent. To take their publicity in a different direction, Cadillac have steered towards showing how many of life’s memorable moments happen inside our cars – creating a multi-genre nod to modern life with a wink to our relationships with vehicles.
The PANARAY marks the first automotive application of design and technology elements from Bose’s home entertainment and professional audio products – and this smooth sound is reflected in the ride quality of the car itself. An entirely new, lightweight architecture gives drivers both spirited performance and precision handling – and delivers on Cadillac’s promise for a sleek and powerful return to the prestige sedan segment.
By showing Grace, a typical CT6 owner, rather than allowing the audience to draw their own conclusion about who would benefit most from the car’s features, Cadillac have appealed directly to young professionals, whose hectic lifestyles and busy schedules would make the CT6 a haven like no other.
Multiple high-tech safety features add to your peace of mind, and the unique combination of agility and responsiveness with comfort and indulgence means that this low and long proportioned sedan is as smooth, soundly-engineered and innovative as the PANARAY sound system which it contains.
