On Wednesday 16th April, The Gentleman’s Journal were lucky enough to enjoy 5 spectacular short film previews alongside Bombay Sapphire’s ‘Ultimate Gin & Tonic’. Each short piece seen was inspired by a Geoffrey Fletcher script and accompanied by a tailor-made cocktail. Bombay’s Imagination Series preview was a melting pot of provoking film-making, imaginative concepts and intriguing cocktails. Our favourite of the evening has to be the ‘Graffiti Area’ Cocktail, bright blue in colour and laced with Absinthe, a heady concoction!
This year’s films, including two UK winners, showcase the imagination and talent of the next generation of aspiring filmmakers from across the globe. With such eclectic interpretations on show, including a dramatic realisation set in space, a love story with a dark twist and a fantastical world surrounded by living street art, viewers are guaranteed to be taken on an exciting and thought-provoking journey as each filmmaker’s contrasting and creative visions are brought to life on the big screen.
