We’ve zipped up the most stylish snowsuits for modern men
Whether you’re looking for something unassuming and stylish or statement-making, here are coolest snow-beating suits for modern men…
Words: Jonathan Wells
Men’s ski suits — for all their easy-zipping, snow-beating benefits — seem to be the padded, puffy preserve of action heroes. Take Rock Hudson in Ice Station Zebra, for example. Or Kirk Douglas in The Heroes of Telemark. Even Robert Redford in Downhill Racer. Roger Moore’s Bond rocked a bold Bogner ski suit in The Spy Who Loved Me‘s pre-title sequence, then a blue suit in For Your Eyes Only, and finally a white suit in A View To A Kill. Pierce Brosnan even zipped one up in The World Is Not Enough.
Then there’s the Kingsman crew, seen swaggering about the Italian Alps above in custom-cut, western-inspired suits. Whether it’s Pedro Pascal or Taron Egerton, surely these styles are enough to convince you of the snowsuit’s dash-cutting credentials? If so, then why not cast your coats aside this ski season, and step into some hero-approved, head-to-toe togs this winter? Here are seven of the coolest options out there…
BOSS x Perfect Moment Belted Ski Suit
Following in the frosty footsteps of the Kingsmen above, our first pick is a partnership between Hugo Boss and luxury sportswear brand, Perfect Moment. Black, belted and with contrast shoulder panels in a manly shade of tan, it takes vintage-tinged touches of retro skiwear and fuses them with fashionable, modern technical elements.
Thermal fleece lining and ‘PrimaLoft’ insulation will keep the snow, ice and cold wind at bay — while four-way stretch fabric promises to provide optimum flexibility. And that internal boot cuff and extendable flare bottoms offer a final western flourish.

Picture ‘Story’ Suit
For a more colourful option — although sticking with the black/brown palette — this suit from the eco-friendly outdoor clothing brand throws vibrant splashes of orange into the mix. With targeted breathability and added protection for ski touring, it’s cut from a sustainable bio-sourced polyester repurposed from sugarcane waste.
To offer enhanced protection and fit, the hood and cuffs are all adjustable, and it’s also been built with some seriously smart features — including multiple hidden pockets, and stitched-in suspenders so you can unzip and shrug off the top when you pause for an après-ski stop.

Bogner ‘Bode’ Ski Overalls
Back to Bogner. James Bond’s ski brand of choice — although Daniel Craig deferred, naturally, to Tom Ford for his mountain-going menswear — was founded in downtown Munich, but has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of male snowsuits. And this ‘Bode’ design is one of the brand’s best.
With a triple-layered construction and four-way stretch stitched into its design, it features functional details like ankle hems with edge protection and internal snow guards, as well as fully bonded seams. It’s part of the label’s ‘James Bond Collection’ — and would serve the superspy handsomely.

Oneskee ‘Acclimate’ Parka Snow Suit
There are many reasons men don’t wear snowsuits. And, while style, perception and tradition may all throw cold powder on the idea, perhaps the most persuasive argument against these winter wonders is that they aren’t all that versatile. Once you zip up, you’re snug and suited until you get back to the lodge.
But Oneskee, a British brand founded in 2014, is on a mission to give the snowsuit a more functional edge. And this, the ‘Acclimate’ design, sees their objective realised. With shades of the off-white tactical gear worn by Tom Hardy, Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Inception, this snowsuit can unzip at the waist, and be worn separately when needed.

Red7 CGI ‘All-in-One’ Snow Suit
Brilliantly blue, there’s a decidedly retro feel to this all-in-one option from Red7 (it’s named after their favourite ski run). And yet, the brand is fiercely future-facing, and creates most of its skiwear using sustainable organic cotton in an ethically accredited wind-powered factory.
This head-turning suit is a little more technical — featuring a 3-layer soft-shell fabric with a stretch TPU membrane. Its features, too, clearly benefit from decades of skiwear innovation — with a handy helmet hood, easily accessible pass pocket, ventilation zips and taped seams all raising this design above its hardshell rivals.

J.Lindeberg Aerial Shell Overalls
Perhaps the slickest suit on this list, this bright white option from Sweden-based brand J.Lindeberg is also the most lightweight. Made using a three-layer fabric — TX SHIELD 3L — it has excellent mechanical stretch and a waterproof, fluorocarbon-free coating.
Expect a helmet-compatible hood, zipped ski pass pocket, elasticated snow gaiters, and reinforced patches — as well as the adjustable belt with diamond-shaped buckle, that ensures a comfortable, shapely fit (even if you’ve had a little too much red wine and raclette at lunch).

Airblaster ‘Freedom’ Suit
For our final frost-thrashing option, the ‘Freedom’ is best suited to snowboarders. It’s been brought to the slopes by Oregon-based Airblaster, the brainchild brand of professional snowsportsman Travis Barker — and is constructed from 15K stretch waterproof outer fabric.
Slightly looser than our other choices, it has lycra wrist gaiters, an interior mesh goggle pocket and a midweight Oxford hood with stretch canvas shoulders. But it’s the colour scheme we like; a restrained blend of battleship blue and blood red named ‘Thunderhead’ — which we’d wager would make a terrific slope-set action thriller itself (starring this suit, of course…).
