To celebrate the launch of Baume & Mercier’s new ladies collection, the Swiss brand have set up shop in Harrod’s world famous Fine Watch Room. Titled Promesse, the collection features a number of elegant female watches, which have been inspired by a classic Baume & Mercier model from the ‘70s, exuding both class and exceptional attention to detail.
The Promesse collection features 14 brand new models in either 30mm or 34mm sizes, and comprising of both quartz and mechanical movements. Each of the pieces are stunning, but the Harrods exclusive black 34mm piece really stands out. The steel case is encrusted with 61 individual diamonds and making use of other fine materials, the bezel is constructed of black mother of pearl and this is complemented by the matching alligator strap, which finishes it off perfectly.
The pop-up itself is an equally exclusive affair, featuring a specially commissioned sculpture by London artist, Sally McKay. The Promesse collection is an outstanding addition to Baume & Mercier’s product line. It’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas, gentlemen.
