Last week saw Francois Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, host a celebratory evening for distinguished guests to mark the launch of the Royal Oak Offshore 42mm Collection. Upon gathering at the venue – the Victoria House, Bloomsbury – guests were treated to a selection of bubbles and canapés all to the soundtrack of performer and brand friend Tinie Tempah, no less. Guests who were delighted with all of his top hits included fashion designers Julian McDonald and Ozwald Boateng, as well as Noelle Reno, Natalie Pinkman, Reggie Yates, Anthony Welsh, Amy Willerton, Arun Nayer, Thomas Flohr, Robert Hersov, Jackie St Clair, Jourdan King, Jo Sykes, Gary and Sharon Pask and Michael Vaughan.
As we well know, Audemars Piguet are world famous for their achievements and endeavours in luxury watchmaking and, due to the fact that it is the first luxury watch to be made in stainless steel, the 1972 octagonal Royal Oak is universally regarded as one of the most important innovations in watchmaking.
