Aston Martin have just let a true thoroughbred out of the gates — and it’s a car that marks the return of not just one, but two illustrious names.
Firstly comes the return of the DBS, Aston Martin’s iconic nameplate that first appeared in 1967. And the second legendary name attached to this car? Superleggera, a throwback to the collaboration that originally paved the way to the DB4, 5 and 6 Mark 1. This is pedigree.
Clad using immaculately-sculpted carbon fibre body panels, this latest model from Aston is blessed with muscular, highly-individual styling. And it’s a bold look that is perfectly matched by the performance of the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 hidden under the bonnet.
Of course, tremendous power and immense torque — delivering breath-taking response and extraordinary in-gear performance — still aren’t enough for some people, and they’ll be scrutinising the latest car to see if it shapes up to the British marque’s previous Super GT flagship, the Vanquish S. We can wholeheartedly say that it does.

Expect a top speed of 211mph, and blistering acceleration that’ll get you to 60mph in just under 3.4 seconds. This is a car dedicated to delivering an unforgettable driving experience, and it doesn’t disappoint.
And it’s not only the performance. Just look at it. With a sleek shape and compelling curves that not only cheat the wind but also clamp the car to the road, the DBS Superleggera is a masterclass in car design. The wheels, which are available in two different designs, have also been fitted with bespoke Pirelli tyres. Now that’s something you won’t find on a daily driver.
Inside, Alcantra upholstery comes as standard, as do the Sports Plus performance seats and steering wheel. Keyless entry also comes as standard and the integrated satellite navigation system will ensure you stay on track during every road trip or adventure.
“DBS Superleggera not only marks the return of a great Aston Martin name,” says Aston Martin President Dr Andy Palmer, “but signals our return to the very pinnacle of the Super GT sector. Handsome beyond measure, its lightweight carbon composite and aluminium body is sculpted into a shape with tremendous presence and charisma.
“Thanks to the remarkable torque available from its twin-turbo V12,” Palmer continues, “DBS Superleggera also packs a breath-taking punch, yet its dynamics have been carefully honed to engage drivers of all ability levels. Immaculately styled, obsessively engineered and outrageously potent, the new DBS Superleggera is every inch the Aston Martin flagship”.
