Cars – Aston Martin Unveils Exclusive New Special Editions

Considering it is 101 years old, it is truly incredible to see how globally renowned sports car marque Aston Martin continue to reinvent themselves and stay current in todays market. They will succeed to do that again at the 84th Geneva International Motor Show this March as, much to our delirium, they have announced they will be releasing the exclusive special carbon black and carbon white editions of the timeless DB9 as well as bold additions to their iconic V8 Vantage range.

The DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White special editions are very exciting. Sleek yet fierce, the Carbon Black has the theme of darkness, while the Carbon White model offers a beautifully dramatic contrast between the white paint and the dark carbon fibre features. The exclusivity and luxury is continued in both variations with bespoke sill plaques emblazoned with the Carbon Black/Carbon White logo on it.

Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman explained: “The classic DB9 Carbon Black and daring DB9 Carbon White special editions give this timeless GT a fresh and highly desirable new appearance.

“Meanwhile, the exciting details that define N430 should leave no one in any doubt about the car’s motorsport roots. Bold graphic treatments and the option of vivid colour combinations conjure up clear visual echoes of the race circuit.”

The new V8 Vantage N430, available in coupe and Roadster, builds on the heritage of previous N cars. Honed on the track, this machine has a power hike of 436 PS at 7,300 prm and is capable of 190 mph, with a 0-60 mph time that drops to 4.6 seconds.

Ian Minards, Director of Product Development at Aston Martin, said of the new car: “N430 is all about bringing track-honed excitement to the road in an accessible, emotionally engaging, and authentically ‘analogue’ way. “The dynamic exhilaration of Vantage is the perfect complement to the eye-catching looks of the N430.”

When you experience this car, both in its appearance and handling, it is clear it has been made with club sport ethos in mind. Features such as carbon fibre and Kevlar seats and ten-spoke forged alloy wheels in a graphite painted finish come as standard and the combined weight of the car is down by 20kg ensuring that lightweight appeal.

The V8 Vantage N430 is priced from £89,995 RRP, first deliveries are expected to begin in September this year.

The Geneva International Motor Show takes place from the 6th-16th March 2014.
