AI influencers are funnelling men to porn
Even a seemingly innocent online influencer might be waiting to direct you to pages with explicit, stolen images

In summer, a surprising story cropped up in the New York Post with the title ‘Influencer’s AI clone of herself goes rogue, becomes sex-crazed maniac’. It might sound like the plot of a 1980s teen-horror-comedy, but in reality, this story serves as a pretty stark warning about the dangers of AI and how the internet thrives on explicit content.
As the Post reported, the previous spring, then 24-year-old influencer Caryn Marjorie launched CarynAI on the messaging app Telegram.
‘I have uploaded over 2000 hours of my content, voice, and personality to become the first creator to be turned into an AI,’ Marjorie wrote on X at the time. Apparently, floods of men signed up, paying $1 per minute to chat via audio with CarynAI, which used Marjorie’s “unique voice, captivating persona and distinctive behaviour” to become the girlfriend of dreams.
