Adolfo ‘Poroto’ Cambiaso: “The Argentine Open was an incredibly emotional moment for all of my family…”

Being the seventh generation of a polo playing dynasty doesn’t come without its pressures, particularly after a stratospheric rise to the top of the sport aged just 19. But then Adolfo ‘Poroto’ Cambiaso isn’t exactly your average sportsman. As the son of polo legend Adolfo Cambiaso Sr., Poroto won the UK’s Royal Windsor Cup aged just 14, where he received the trophy from HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and lays claim to being the youngest player in history to win the holy trinity of polo tournaments: the Gold Cup for British Open, the US Open and the Argentine Open, which he won while playing alongside his father. Cambiaso has already established himself as a star in sport, a Richard Mille brand partner and, more recently, as part of Netflix’s marquee show Polo, produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
