A Taste of Ireland – The Tipperary
Words: Gentleman's Journal
Any decent barman can pour a good pint of Guinness, but if you are looking for a proper Irish pub to plant yourself in on St. Patrick’s Day and want to celebrate in with friends in true Irish style then look no further than The Tipperary. It stocks real Irish ales and hearty whiskeys that’ll make your Sunday a merry one.
Located on the legendary Fleet Street, The Tipperary is London’s oldest Irish pub, dating back to 1605. It’s Irish heritage, although not going quite as far back, dates back to 1700. As the first pub outside of Ireland to sell bottled and draught Guinness we can assure you will get the real deal. It’ll be a squeeze to get in but we can’t recommend a better place to enjoy that obligatory pint.
