20 years ago you could swan off to University, have the time of life for 3 years, scrape by with a 2:2 and still walk straight into a great job. Oh how times have changed. Even those with the highest of honours still struggle to get on the job ladder and it doesn’t seem to matter where you even went to University, everyone seems to be in the same boat. That said, however, there are some degrees that are more likely to get you a job than any other, so here we present you with 5 University degrees that will actually get you a job…
1. MEDICINE & DENTISTRY
Pretty unsurprising but this is the most guaranteed degree to gain you a job once you leave the comfort of University halls and lecture theatres. An impressive 99% of all students graduating in dentistry or medicine get a job within the first 6 months of graduating.
2. ENGINEERING
Engineering comes in a close second on the list, with jobs in science and technology regarding this as one of the most vital degrees when looking for new recruits. Last year over 80% of Engineering graduates landed job within six months.
3. LANGUAGES
The ability to speak another language is more important in the job world now than ever before, with many multi-national companies prizing those with fluency in 2 or more languages as a highly lauded after skill. So if anyone tells you that year abroad is waste of time, you can tell them otherwise!
4. LAW
Law has always been a near-guarantee of future employment and with a healthy pay check to boot. This is as true today as it was 2 decades ago, with many graduates going straight into employment or further education once they had graduated. So, if you can hack the work load and endless lectures whilst your housemates are out partying every night of the week, you’ll be the one having the last laugh once that first pay check comes in.

ARCHITECTURE, BUILDING & PLANNING, With an impressive 85% of graduates in these degrees finding employment within 6 months of graduation, it looks like this figure is only set to keep on rising with the same rate that the London ski line is.
