5 Things You Missed from the 2014 MTV Movie Awards

Last night saw the MTV Movie Awards take place in the USA and, as always, it pulled in a crowd of actors, musicians and Z-list MTV ‘stars’. If you were watching Mad Men or Game of Thrones instead, here are 5 things you might have missed from the event.
FUNNY MAN CONAN O’BRIEN DID A HILARIOUS OPENING MONTAGE, , If you have even seen his show in the USA, you will know that Conan O’Brien is hilariously funny. Add in the fact that it featured 50 celebrities including Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Samberg, Seth Rogan, Emma Watson, Russell Crowe, Jessica Alba, Martin Scorsese and Paul Rudd, doing cameos and it made for a pretty epic opening sequence.
KATE UPTON WAS MESMERISING, , It is a known fact that whatever Kate Upton seems to do, she does it in a sexy way. She just cannot help it. This is exactly what happened in the funny sketch with her The Other Woman co-stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nicki Minaj.
SETH ROGEN KISSED HIS ‘MOTHER’, , Typical of the MTV awards, the point was to shock in the most blatant way possible. Enter Seth Rogen who, when presenting the ‘Best Kiss’ Award with Zac Efron and Dave Franco, proceeded to kiss his ‘mother’ on the lips.
JONAH HILL IMPRESSED AGAIN, , Jonah Hill presented the Trailblazer award to Channing Tatum and did one of the best introduction speeches of the night. Check it out below:
“They asked me to give this award to Chan tonight for the Trailblazer Award, and I started to think about it and said, ‘Who has been more of a trailblazer than Chan?’, Think about the idea of a trailblazer: a super good looking guy who becomes the lead in movies. What kind of trail blaze? That is an amazing trail blaze! Think about a guy like me – I’ve had it easy! An average looking guy becoming a movie star, that’s easy! The trail is already blazed for you! I didn’t have any branches or twigs to step over in my trail. I didn’t twist any ankles. What’s a more trailblazing experience than a f***ing gorgeous man becoming a movie star?!”
THINGS WENT WORNG…UNSURPRISINGLY, , As with all award shows, there are awkward moments where jokes don’t land, people say the wrong thing and rehearsed skits go a bit pear-shaped. Last night, Chris Pratt went on stage without his microphone, Amanda Seyfried couldn’t read the telepromter without her contacts in and Cameron Diaz said Catching Fires instead of Catching Fire. Whoops.
