6 ways to Get Followers on Google+

The rate at which Google+ has grown is inspiring yet not all together surprising considering it is operated by Google Inc. It is not only a social media platform but a authorship tool as well which is why people and businesses are flocking to get on, enjoy and utilise it. Here are six ways to get followers on Google +.
1. Make Sure your Profile is Pristine, If you hope to gain a following on Google+ you are going to have to give them something worthwhile to follow. And with the amount of competition, not only on Google+ but on all social networks, it is not enough to just be good, you need to be great. This means posting engaging content, ensuring your profile is complete and attractive linking to your other social networks or websites.
2. Use your Social Online Presence, I am sure that you have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin pages, so use them! Promote your Google+ via these social media platforms to allow your existing followers to get more of you and your brand.
3. Be Unique, Remember to tailor your content to the specific platform that you are on. What works on Facebook, doesn’t get the same response on Twitter and Instagram, and it’s the same for Google+. Figure out what your audience responses to by trialling your post style. Don’t only post links, post photos, maps, videos and GIFs.
4. Be Consistent, As with any social network, you have to dedicate time to it. There is no use posting once a week then expecting people to follow. You can also post recurring features, i.e Photo of the Day, Quote of the Day, this will keep people coming back to your page to see what offering you have for them each day.
5. Follow other People, If you want people to follow you, you must initially (and continually) show interest in other people. Personal profiles are more likely to follow you back than business profiles.
6. Engage with Others in your Network, Again, if you want you name to be out there, you must have a presence. Use communities and build relationships. Don’t just offer your own content just comment and share others.
