Best foot forward and game face on – it’s time to plan your attack on the careers ladder. Interviews require commitment, discipline and determination. As with anything, proper planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance. Even if the worst comes to the worst, it’s all good experience. Cheerfulness in the face of adversity and all that. Here are 10 essential steps to help you land your dream job.
DRESS TO IMPRESS – BE PROFESSIONAL
This is your chance to make a good first impression and to stand out from the crowd.

Detail your education, highlight your strengths, include quality references.
Know your CV and application inside out and back to front.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
Clean-up your online presence – especially on social media.
DON’T BE LATE
Punctuality is key. Arrive early, relax, observe and absorb.
When you leave, ask about next steps.

Arm yourself with pen, paper, CV, a winning smile…
